I feel that Recoleta Cemetery chose me rather than the other way round. When I’m there, I often have the sense that I’m being led, that the cemetery is trying to reveal its mystical side to me. The reflections allow me to show aspects of the characters in the stained glass and the statues, and to bring their personalities to life. They also capture the feeling that we are part of something greater than ourselves – source, God, Goddess, call it what you will. A reminder that we are not alone. I was born in Montreal in 1967, grew up in England and live in Buenos Aires. I came, like many, to dance tango and fell in love with this city where strangers talk to you, tango music seeps on to the streets and the ornate crumbling buildings speak of grander times. I’m a writer, sub-editor and photographer.
