If we could see inside each other, I imagine we’d witness something along these lines. The reflected tree speaks of our journey here on earth, the paths we take, often reaching outside ourselves for something greater, only to realise it’s inside us all along. At our core, a beautiful beaming light in spite of the pain, the scars, the debris that build up along the way – a testament to our Resilience.

This photo is not from Recoleta Cemetery but from my magical hour and a quarter in Père Lachaise last September. As my previous post from England was from the same Paris trip, that brings things in a nice loop.
I was born in Montreal in 1967, grew up in England and live between London and Buenos Aires. Like many, I came to Buenos Aires to dance tango and fell under the spell of this city where strangers talk to you, tango music seeps on to the streets and the ornate crumbling buildings speak of grander times. I love writing and crafting words – I've worked as a sub-editor for more than 20 years – and taking photographs.
Absolutely beautiful message Julie-Anne and I heard it loud and clear.
Dear Amanda, so glad it spoke to you.
